Mother of the Groom Hires an Unknown Actress to Sabotage the Wedding, but Plans Spiral Out of Control – Story of the Day
Miranda, an aspiring actress facing significant professional setbacks, encounters yet another disappointment when a casting director deems her “not interesting enough.” With her finances dwindling, she comes across an unusual advertisement in a store: “Seeking a woman to impersonate my son’s girlfriend. Generous compensation offered.” In her desperation, Miranda contacts the provided number, and by that evening, she meets Leslie, an affluent woman who employs her with the task of thwarting her son Jack’s impending marriage to a woman named Katie. Leslie promises a reward of $10,000 contingent upon Miranda’s success.
Miranda takes up a position as Jack’s assistant; however, she finds it challenging to capture his attention. Over time, they develop a connection, leading Miranda to reassess Leslie’s intentions after meeting Katie, who exhibits warmth and affection towards Jack. As Leslie pressures Miranda to intensify her efforts to disrupt the relationship, Miranda’s feelings of guilt intensify.
