At the age of 80, Elizabeth decided to distribute her estate among her three grandsons. In this division, Luke received only an old, dusty chest, while Tom and Aidan were granted valuable properties. Feeling that the inheritance was unjust, Luke confronted his grandmother, which prompted her to revise her will to include the chest for him.

Years later, following Elizabeth’s passing, Luke came into possession of the chest, which he carelessly stored away. However, his daughter Meredith, intrigued by the unknown, discovered it in the attic and insisted on opening it. To Luke’s astonishment, he found gold bars and a certificate of ownership inside, along with a letter that contained a key to a safety deposit box.

Upon visiting the bank, Luke uncovered that his grandmother had amassed even greater riches—gold bars weighing one kilogram each, in addition to diamonds and gemstones. Overwhelmed and enlightened, Luke understood that Elizabeth had concealed this wealth to impart a lesson about entitlement.

Filled with gratitude, Luke reached out to his brothers to express remorse for his previous actions. Aidan chuckled, revealing that he had been aware of their grandmother’s true intentions all along. Luke reconciled with his family, gaining a deeper appreciation for the wisdom his grandmother had shared.

Although Luke had acquired considerable wealth, he remained haunted by his past behavior, regretting the way he had treated Elizabeth.
