Little Johnny failed his mathematics test completely….

Little Johnny performed poorly on his math test, prompting his teacher to express her concerns by contacting his father.

Upon returning home that afternoon, Johnny discovered his father waiting for him at the entrance, visibly displeased. “Why did you not pass your math test?” his father inquired sternly.

Johnny merely shrugged and replied, “It’s because my teacher isn’t very competent.”

Surprised, his father requested further clarification. Johnny sighed and elaborated, “On Monday, my teacher stated that 3 + 5 equals 8.”

“Is that so?” his father encouraged.

“Then on Tuesday, she asserted that 4 + 4 equals 8, and on Wednesday, she claimed that 6 + 2 equals 8,” Johnny continued. “If she cannot consistently determine what sums to eight, how am I expected to understand it?”
