Heat is typically released from the sides or rear of the refrigerator. If the process of heat dissipation is obstructed and occurs at a slower rate than usual, the energy consumption of the appliance will increase. Consequently, it is recommended that users position the refrigerator away from walls and other obstacles that could impede heat release.

Additionally, the refrigerator should not be placed in proximity to other electrical devices such as ovens, electric stoves, or microwaves, as this can significantly elevate the surrounding temperature and potentially shorten the appliance’s lifespan. It is also crucial to limit the time the refrigerator door remains open.

Extended periods of door opening will permit cold air to escape, requiring the compressor to exert more effort to sustain the desired temperature.
