Candace Cameron Bure Does Not Back Down Over Backlash On ‘Inappropriate’ Pictures With Husband
Candace Cameron Bure has recently attracted considerable media scrutiny.
The actress made headlines due to her remarks regarding “traditional marriage,” which did not resonate positively with all of her followers. Presently, a photograph she posted with her husband has ignited controversy. Candace first met Valeri Bure, whom she later married, at a hockey game in 1994. They began their romantic relationship that same year and were married on June 22, 1996.
Having been married for nearly twenty years, the couple continues to emphasize the importance of their relationship and cultivate their love for one another. Bure shared a glimpse of the playful nature of their marriage on Instagram; however, her lightheartedness prompted a strong reaction from her audience, with some deeming her humor as inappropriate.
In spite of the criticism, Bure remained resolute and opted to repost the image on her timeline. The “sweet and spicy” nature of her relationship with her husband was depicted in two photos she shared online. In the second image, Valeri’s arm is wrapped around his wife’s shoulder, with his hand resting on her chest.
Some fans warned her that the image was not fitting for a ‘Christian star’ of her stature.
In reply to her critics, the actress remarked, “I apologize if it upset you… but I am not truly sorry,” while laughing in a subsequent video shared on her Instagram stories. “I am delighted that we can enjoy ourselves together after so many years.”
She emphasized that she was simply highlighting the advantages of a “good and healthy marriage” after 24 years.
She expressed her amusement in a subsequent Instagram story video, stating, “It brings me joy as it includes my husband. He has the liberty to touch me whenever he desires, and I genuinely hope he takes that opportunity.”
