According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Meek passed away on December 22 at UAB Hospital, surrounded by his family, less than 48 hours after being ejected from a moving vehicle.
The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Canyon Road in Vestavia Hills, resulting in severe blunt force trauma to the young actor. Born on August 5, 2008, to parents Derek and Lani, Meek was a sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School, as indicated in his obituary.

He was a well-rounded individual, excelling both academically and socially. Meek was an active member of the Vestavia Hills Rebel Football Team, participated in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and contributed to the Honor Choir and Student Government Association.
His vibrant personality and passion for sports, particularly football, basketball, and boxing, endeared him to his peers. His enthusiasm for the Auburn Tigers and his adventurous spirit were reflected in his love for outdoor activities, water sports, and spending cherished moments with his close-knit group of friends.
Despite his youth, he led a dynamic and engaging life, establishing himself as a gifted actor. He garnered attention for his portrayal of the younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character in “Baby Driver,” demonstrating his exceptional skills.
