Since the moment Nicole commenced her wedding preparations, her mother became deeply engaged, enthusiastically offering assistance at every opportunity. When Nicole tactfully requested that her mother take a step back, her mother complied, yet her fervor remained undiminished.

On the day of the ceremony, however, Nicole’s mother arrived in a complete wedding dress, asserting that she had received a call instructing her to do so. Nicole was left both perplexed and infuriated, eager to discover who had manipulated her mother’s feelings and disrupted this significant occasion.

From the outset, Nicole envisioned a straightforward and uncomplicated wedding. Unlike many girls who fantasized about elaborate ceremonies, her sole specific wish was to have cupcakes at the reception. Nevertheless, she was acutely aware of her mother’s profound, unfulfilled aspirations regarding wedding planning, as her parents had never wed; her father had departed before Nicole’s birth.

As the planning progressed, Nicole’s mother immersed herself in every aspect with zeal, selecting flowers, cakes, and table arrangements as if it were her own celebration. One day, observing her mother engrossed in the wedding notebook, Nicole gently suggested that she take a step back, concerned that her mother was becoming overly involved. Her mother’s understanding yet subdued smile elicited a wave of guilt in Nicole.

Fortunately, her mother honored her request, stepping back sufficiently while maintaining communication with Anna, the wedding planner, to monitor the final arrangements.

On the wedding morning, Nicole arrived at the church filled with eager anticipation. However, upon entering the bride’s dressing room, she was confronted with an astonishing sight—her mother, clad in a bridal gown, holding a pair of shoes and beaming as if lost in a fantasy.

“Mom? What are you doing?” Nicole gasped, taken aback.

Her mother’s face radiated joy as she spun in the gown. “I received a call indicating that you wanted us to share the wedding day! I was taken aback because you hadn’t mentioned it, but it filled me with happiness!”

Nicole felt a wave of dread wash over her as she inquired, “Who called you?” Her mother paused, sensing that something was amiss. “Your wedding planner… I believe,” she replied hesitantly.

Nicole swiftly contacted Anna, demanding clarification. Anna reassured her that it was not her initiative, although she confessed that her superior, Miranda James, had requested Nicole’s mother’s contact information. The mention of Miranda James sent a chill through Nicole—she recognized that name as Peter’s former partner.

Leaving her mother in the dressing room, Nicole hurried to find Peter, recounting the entire ordeal. Peter was equally shocked and furious. Together, they proceeded directly to Miranda’s office, intent on confronting her. They discovered her seated at her desk, a smug expression on her face.

“Why did you do this?” Peter demanded.

“I thought it would be a delightful surprise,” Miranda replied with a smirk, clearly enjoying their turmoil.

“This is beneath you, even for your standards,” he retorted, his voice laced with disdain. The confrontation escalated, with each accusation only serving to heighten Miranda’s twisted pleasure. Frustrated with the situation, Nicole decided to take action. She pulled out her phone and recorded a brief video detailing the incident, exposing Miranda’s meddling and tagging every vendor they had engaged for their wedding.

As they returned to the church, Nicole’s phone buzzed with notifications as people reacted to Miranda’s spiteful actions, denouncing her behavior online. By the time Nicole was ready to walk down the aisle, public sentiment had turned against Miranda, and her reputation was swiftly deteriorating.

At the church, Nicole found her mother waiting, her eyes filled with tears. “Mom, I am truly sorry for all of this. I understand how excited you were,” she said, embracing her mother.

Her mother gently smiled, tucking a strand of Nicole’s hair behind her ear. “It’s alright, dear. I should have understood it was a joke—you would have confided in me if it were genuine. Now, let us proceed with your wedding.”

With pride, her mother escorted Nicole down the aisle, and upon reaching the altar, Peter embraced her mother warmly. The wedding unfolded smoothly, despite the earlier turmoil, thanks to Anna’s adept management in their absence.

During their honeymoon, Nicole received a multitude of messages from wedding planners offering complimentary services, eager to express their support following the incident involving Miranda. As Nicole and Peter enjoyed their time on the beach, Peter laughed and remarked, “It seems the entire industry is eager to demonstrate they surpass Miranda.”

“Indeed, but I have no intention of planning another wedding,” Nicole replied with a smile. Her expression then softened. “However, my mother deserves the wedding she has always envisioned. She was prepared for it. I think I will accept one of those offers and organize it all for her.”

Peter’s playful grin faded as he recognized her sincerity. “You know, that’s actually a splendid idea.”

Nicole discreetly collaborated with a new wedding planner, curating every detail to reflect her mother’s preferences—from the floral arrangements and cake to the wedding dress she had once admired. On the day of the celebration, they gathered family and friends under the guise of commemorating her in-laws’ anniversary. When her mother arrived, she was overcome with emotion, realizing the true purpose of the gathering.

“This is for you,” Nicole said, assisting her mother into her wedding dress. “Everything is for you.”

Nicole’s mother was moved to tears, profoundly touched. At long last, she was able to experience the wedding she had always dreamed of, creating a moment that deepened their bond.
