Elon Musk is a father of 11 children. Now he has an interesting new plan for all of them.

He is reported to have eleven children with a well-known billionaire who was once the richest person in the world. Recently, he is said to have made a significant request to the mothers of his children.

Several days ago, international news sources indicated that investor and entrepreneur Elon Musk desires for all of his children and their mothers to cohabit in some manner.

The owner of Tesla and SpaceX has fathered 11 children with three different women. According to a report from The New York Times last week, Musk intends to relocate his entire family into three adjacent mansions in Austin, Texas.

Claire Boucher, more widely recognized as Grimes, who is married to Musk and shares three children with him, opposes his plans. They have been in conflict regarding custody arrangements for their children. People magazine reports that Grimes is advocating for an additional mansion, potentially in Los Angeles, to accommodate all of Musk’s former partners and their children, as noted by The Bytes.

Shivon Zilis, the mother of Musk’s three known children, is said to have consented to his proposal. She holds an executive position at Neuralink and is reported to have moved into one of Musk’s three Austin residences. However, it remains uncertain whether Musk’s fifth wife, Justine Wilson Musk, will choose to join them or prefer the mansion that Grimes has proposed in Los Angeles.

Musk and Justine also had a son named Nevada, who tragically passed away at a young age. This brings the total number of Musk’s children to twelve, as far as current information suggests. However, Musk’s views on transgender issues have strained his relationship with his daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson (formerly known as Griffin Musk), making it unlikely that he will be able to unite the entire family.

What motivates Musk to have such a large number of children?

In the past, Musk has expressed his belief that declining birth rates pose a significant threat to humanity. He contends that increasing the number of children he has will help to “address the issue.”

The New York Times reported that Musk has even proposed donating his sperm to SpaceX employees and “friends and acquaintances,” including Nicole Shanahan, who previously ran for vice president as an independent candidate.

Musk shares six children with his first wife, Justine Wilson. The couple met during their college years and developed a romantic relationship. Subsequently, he had three children with musician Grimes, his former partner, which garnered significant media attention. Recently, he welcomed three additional children with Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink, another of his ventures.

Alexander Musk in Nevada

Elon Musk and Justine Wilson were married in January 2000. Their first child, a son named Nevada Alexander Musk, was born in 2002 but tragically passed away at 10 weeks due to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).

Flint and Vivian Musk

Following the loss of their first child, Musk and Wilson utilized IVF to conceive again. Their twins, Griffin and Vivian, were born in 2004 and are currently 20 years old.

In 2022, Vivian publicly identified as transgender, legally changing her name and distancing herself from Musk. She expressed a desire to no longer be “related to” her biological father. Musk later claimed he was “tricked into signing” documents for her gender change, referring to her by her previous name and stating, “My son Xavier is dead—killed by the woke-mind virus,” which sparked considerable controversy.

Kai, Saxon, and Damian Musk

The couple welcomed three more sons, Kai, Saxon, and Damian, through IVF in January 2006. Each of these children is now 18 years old. They were the last children born to the couple before their separation in 2008.

Musk began a relationship with singer Grimes (Claire Elise Boucher) in May 2020. Prior to this, he had been married twice to Talulah Riley, an actress known for her role in Westworld, and had a brief involvement with Amber Heard. In the same month that they started dating, the couple welcomed their son, X AE A-XII. Currently 4 years old, he was initially named X † A-12, but the name was altered due to California’s restrictions on certain characters.

In September 2021, Page Six exclusively reported that Musk and Grimes had ended their relationship.

In March 2022, Grimes announced that she and Musk had welcomed their first daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, in December 2021 via a surrogate. She has an older brother named X, leading many to refer to her as “Y.” She is now 2 years old.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Grimes referred to Musk as her “boyfriend,” while describing their relationship as “fluid.” However, shortly after the article was published, she tweeted that they were no longer together.

In March 2023, Grimes shared on social media that her daughter is known as “Y,” “Why?” or even “?” but noted that the government does not officially recognize the sound.

Strider and Azure

Court documents obtained by Business Insider in July 2022 revealed that Musk had secretly fathered twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis in November 2021. Their names, Strider and Azure, were disclosed to the public in September 2023. They are currently 2 years old. An Austin, Texas judge approved Musk and Zilis’s request for the twins to carry their father’s surname along with a portion of their mother’s surname as their middle names.
