Robert De Niro, 80, and baby daughter Gia, 10 months, snuggle in rare family photo

Robert De Niro recently shared a rare image featuring himself and his 10-month-old daughter, Gia. The esteemed actor, aged 80, is seen tenderly holding the infant on his lap, resting his cheek affectionately against her head.
In the photograph, Gia displays a delightful smile while dressed in an adorable onesie adorned with musical squirrels.
“She’s such an adorable baby. So sweet,” De Niro expressed during an interview with People published on Wednesday.
The actor humorously reflected on the unique dynamics within his family following the arrival of his seventh child at the age of 79.
“The kids all get a big kick out of her. The grandkids even. She’s their aunt — [and] they’re about to be teenagers!” he remarked.
The image, acquired by Page Six, captures a joyful Gia perched on her father’s lap as he lovingly rests his cheek on her head.
In addition to Gia, whom he welcomed in the spring of 2023 with his partner Tiffany Chen, De Niro has six other children: Drena, 56, Raphael, 47, twins Julian and Aaron, 28, Elliot, 25, and Helen, 12.
He is also a grandfather to four grandchildren, including Drena’s son, Leandro, who tragically passed away from an accidental overdose last year at the age of 19.
Last month, the Oscar-winning actor became emotional while discussing his newest child during an interview with AARP. “Everything that I’m consumed with or worried about just goes away when I look at her,” he shared. “It’s wondrous.”
He also provided insight into his domestic life with Chen, 45, and baby Gia while conversing with the Guardian last October. Addressing his age, he candidly noted that he has reduced his involvement in “the heavy lifting.”
In the spring of 2023, she welcomed their first child together, as reported by CBS Mornings.
“I am present and supportive of my girlfriend, but she is the one doing the work,” he remarked.
“We also have assistance, which is crucial.”
De Niro and Chen were first connected in 2021 after their initial meeting on the set of his 2015 film, “The Intern.”
“When we were working together, it was purely professional,” Chen shared during a conversation with Gayle King on “CBS Mornings” regarding the early stages of their relationship in July 2023.
“Then, a few years later, we reestablished contact, and I realized, ‘Oh, we seem to get along quite well, and indeed, we do.'”
The star of “Killers of the Flower Moon” was previously married to Diahnne Abbott from 1976 to 1988 and to Grace Hightower from 1997 until 2018.
