Riley Gaines Boldly Responds to British Author JK Rowling After She Reaffirms Her Stance on Transgender Issues

Riley Gaines has publicly voiced her support for J.K. Rowling concerning her views on transgender matters.

Both Gaines and Rowling align in their beliefs regarding the involvement of transgender athletes in women’s sports. Since the conclusion of the 2022 NCAA Swimming Championships, Gaines has actively opposed the inclusion of trans athletes in women’s categories, while Rowling has consistently expressed her opinions on this issue.

Recently, Rowling took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a fan’s comment, which read:

“Of course they won’t go after someone that has the means to defend themselves. They will target people that can’t until it becomes common enough to target you.”

In her reply, Rowling conveyed her willingness to confront any repercussions alongside any woman who dares to challenge the narrative surrounding transgender individuals.

“If they go after any woman for simply calling a man a man, I’ll repeat that woman’s words and they can charge us both at once,” Rowling stated.

Gaines, a staunch advocate for women’s rights, expressed her solidarity with the 58-year-old author.

Previously, the former NCAA swimmer commended Rowling after she was accused of misgendering India Willoughby, a UK news presenter.

“J.K. Rowling is unleashed,” Gaines commented. “Understand they tried to arrest her this week for calling a man a man. And this is how she follows up. Beyond commendable.”
